I love your Girl!Tony, how she totally retains her prickly-yet-inner-sensitive-heart personality but does the hiking her dress up to drive and the Vanity Fair and the hair ties and the stealing clothes as well.
And STEEEEEEVE, oh sweetheart, bless you for thinking that Toni's gonna let you retain your "strictly platonic and professional" distance. (I love how you wrote Steve's handling of the future, too--how it upsets him at first, but he both acclimates and realizes that he's still got a job to do, so he doesn't dwell or get overly weepy.)
